Amanda began her entertainment and dance journey at 4 years old, when her acting teacher encouraged her parents to put her in dance so that she could begin auditioning for musicals. Her training in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, hip-hop, contemporary and musical theater lead her across the country to work with pre-professional and professional companies such as Houston Repertoire Ballet, The Houston Metropolitan Dance Company, Greater Lewisville Community Theatre, Gwinnett Ballet Theatre, Atlanta Ballet, Boston Ballet, Broadway Dancer Center, Double Take Dance NYC and Carnival Cruise Lines.
It was in her senior year of high school, recovering from a broken leg, that she was first introduced to Pilates. Amanda credits Pilates with her recovery time being cut in half and being back in pointe shoes on stage in just a few months. Through her travels she has always come back to her love and trust in Pilates and all the good it can do for ANY BODY. Following a serious injury, leading to hip surgery in 2016, it was time to get serious about earning her Pilates teaching certification. After much research she knew that BASI was the right place to start. With their likeminded views on everybody, and every BODY being different and their encouragement of continuing education Amanda is looking forward to utilizing all of her knowledge and experience to help others lead full, active and pain free lives.
